H.D Galerie presented Alex Kuznetsov’s solo exhibition Unplanned Decisions at 45 Rue Vivienne, Paris, opening on 9 January 2025. The show gathered large- and mid-scale acrylic paintings from 2024–2025, installed as measured sequences that emphasize structure, weight, and duration.
Developed through Kuznetsov’s process-driven method, the works balance control and contingency: layered surfaces are drawn with industrial tools, allowing decisions to emerge in real time rather than from a pre-set image. The exhibition framed painting as a space to inhabit — privileging attention and slow looking over spectacle — and was accompanied by a dedicated catalogue documenting the series and studio process.
