Alex Kuznetsov participated in Random Black, a group exhibition curated by Tomaz Hipólito and presented by AZAN Contemporary Art at Galeria Santa Maria Maior in Lisbon. The exhibition brought together fifty artists around a single condition: each work was produced entirely in black.
Kuznetsov presented a 130 × 130 cm oil painting built through dense, layered application. The work approaches black as matter, structure and depth, continuing his investigation of repetition and material accumulation.
