Revolut presents a new collaboration with Lisbon-based artist Alex Kuznetsov, introducing a limited series of virtual cards that embed fragments of original paintings directly into the everyday act of payment.
Each design draws from a real Alex Kuznetsov painting — a direct translation from physical surface to digital form. No stylization. The edge, the rhythm, the field remain. The texture of the original — built through layers, gesture, and pressure — is preserved within the card’s strict rectangular frame. This is not an illustration, but a transfer of matter into code. Materiality carried into the digital.

Kuznetsov’s work is known for resisting immediacy. Built through layered, directional applications of paint using an aluminum straightedge, his paintings emerge as slow surfaces — fields of duration, density, and perceptual tension.
