Epicentro — Convento dos Cardaes, Lisbon

Group exhibition curated by Manuel D’Olivares

Alex Kuznetsov takes part in Epicentro, a group exhibition at Convento dos Cardaes, Lisbon, curated by Manuel D’Olivares. The project brings together neighbouring institutions — including the Museu Nacional de História Natural e da Ciência, Atelier Museu Júlio Pomar, Galeria Ratton, Galeria Nave, and Galeria Teresa Seabra — for a dialogue with the memory and rituals of the convent.

For this exhibition, Kuznetsov presents two large dark-blue acrylic works (240 × 183 cm each) installed as a diptych. The chromatic field acts as a measured response to the site’s azulejo tradition, proposing duration and slow looking rather than image.

Exhibition dates: 9 September – 16 October 2025
